Garnier Clean + Shine Control Cleanser

I completely fell in love with the Charcoal detox  face wash from Michael Todd true organics and when I ran out I decided to try and find myself a less expensive alternative, maybe one I could pick up at a local store instead of ordering online. I had seen a few offerings of charcoal face washes around and decided to try this one from Garnier after one blogger raved of its benefits. So I headed out to my local store and picked it up for the inexpensive price of $7.99

This face wash did terrible things to my skin… I have oily skin and this so overly dried it out. I mean my skin started flaking like crazy and in an effort for it to re-moisturize itself began over producing oil and in turn my face broke out terribly. I don’t think I had a break-out this bad since high school and no I am not exaggerating.  I really can’t imagine what skin type this would work well for? I used almost ¾ of the bottle trying to figure what had made my skin going so crazy. After a little process of elimination it could have only been the introduction of this face wash into my skincare routine.

In the end I just purchased a new bottle of my beloved Michael Todd cleanser. Have you ever tried this face wash before? Any recommendations on other charcoal face washes you love? Share in the comments!
