2014 Favorites
This past year marked my return of creating content for this blog. I decided it was something that I missed doing and while at times it was daunting im so glad I did.In 2015 I hope to continue finding my voice and sharing new products, trends, and my general opinion on things with you all! With that said I really branched out this year in my beauty products. I managed to keep this list down to 15 products, although there were many more I enjoyed using these are the creme de la crème.
3. Bite Lipstick - In general Lip products from bite are just heavenly and I reccomend checking them out. This one in particular is on my favorites because it was a custom shade I had made for me during my trip to NYC (read about it here). Its the perfect nude, my lip color but better and I'm obsessed with it.
4. Julep Glow Pore Minimizing Blush in Peach Bellini- I reached for this blush more often than any other in 2014. The formula is incredibly smooth and silky. The color is perfect for everyday at the office and just gives my cheeks a soft peachy glow.
5. Tantalizer - This product is CLUTCH! I mean if ever in need of a bronze for a night out on the town or event or just wearing those short shorts in the summer then you must have this product. I have probably been through 3 bottles of it this year alone.
6. Julep Glow Pore Minimizing Bronzer in Medium Tan- Julep really impressed me with their glow collection of bronzers and blushes. I used this everyday as an all over color boost as well as using it to contour out my cheek bones. The finely milled powder made it blend into the skin so effortlessly. I hit pan on this in November and have been missing it ever since.
7. Bobbi Brown Palette - Before 2014 I had never tried Bobbi Brown cosmetics. Her products and packaging are beautifull but often cost more than I am willing to spend. This year I splurged a little and picked up her Nude Basics set and this face pallet was included. Its basically the girl on the go's best friend. You have foundation, concealer, corrector and setting powder all in one cute little package. Not to mention the quality of her products is top notch too.
8. Soya Want It All by Sexy Hair- I hate to admit it but I didn't get a hair cut in 2014 ( I am seriously squirming as I type that). I really wanted all my layers to grow out super long and this product definitly helped keep my hair in good condition. You can see my full review here.
9. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eye Pencil - Some times I feel eyeliner is just eyeliner nothing to exciting or worth noting but I totally changed my attitude in 2014. This eyeliner glides on so smoothly with out tugging on your lid. It has great longevity and doesn't smudge or smear once on. Everything you could ask for in an eyeliner if you ask me!
10. Aerin Amber Musk - My favorite scent in 2014 is Amber Musk I have worn it almost everyday. I had to start rationing myself because I could just bathe in this stuff.
11. Loccitane Almond Shower oil - I found this product later in the year but its such an outstanding product it deserved to be on this list. I can't imagine ever showering with out it! Its the best thing for shaving my legs it leaves them with no irritation what so ever.
12. Tan Towel - I gave up tanning beds a while ago and turned to using self tanners solely. Tan Towel became the easiest and best way for me to upkeep my tan. Its completely mess free and travel friendly. See my full post here.
13. Korres Face Primer - I wear primer pretty much every single day I wear make up. I have oily skin and foundations always start to slip off towards mid day. Using a primer really gives longevity to my make up and this one by Korres was my favorite in 2014. It went on smooth but with out the silicone feeling and felt light on my skin. See more about this primer HERE.
14. Too Faced Bullet Proof Brows - I finally found my perfect brown combination in 2014 and its all owed to this product. Easy to apply and fills in your brows while keeping them natural looking. Read my full review here.
15. Dior Addict Lip Glow- On a day to day basis I don't wear much lipstick. Instead I love wearing this product. It gives you a little bit of color but keeps your lips moisturized through the day.
