Yesterday I shared my Mother's Day gift guide and today I am sharing some of the best places to get Brunch in Houston. One of my favorite things to do on the weekend is having a great brunch (Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day) with a mimosa! So why not treat your mom to a catch up session over brunch?! Whether you are looking for something casual or a reason to dress your best this list has it all.
Empire Café - A casual spot tucked away in the middle of Houston's Montrose, Empire café does breakfast the way it is meant to be. Simple and fresh additionally If your mom is a coffee lover she will definitely love the options Empire offers. This includes the house made Espresso Granita ( a frozen concoction that is out of this world and is served with two adorable little cookies.) Walk in, order your food and take a seat out on one of the two patios. While you wait for your food enjoy the good coffee and great company of your mom.
Crisp - Crisp has two locations one in the heights and a recently opened location in the woodlands. I have had almost everything on the menu here and always come back for more. The heights location also has a wonderful patio that god willing the Houston weather cooperates your mom will enjoy thoroughly. The location in the heights is having a special Mother's Day brunch buffet that comes with bottomless mimosas and sangria's. If that sounds like your jam I suggest making your reservation soon!
Cyclone Anaya's - Looking for a Tex-Mex infused brunch? Of course you are! Living in Texas means constant cravings of Tex-Mex and margaritas. Cyclone's puts a slightly more upscale twist on the Tex-Mex cuisine. With 5 locations around Houston you are sure to get your craving fix. Find the location nearest you on OpenTable Houston.
The Bird and The Bear - So you feel like treating your mom to an extra special brunch? The bird and the Bear is the perfect place to take her. Not an overly stuffy atmosphere just refined southern comfort. All of their dishes on the mother's day menu sound divine but what has my mouth watering is the Alaskan Benedict. A play on eggs benedict using Alaskan salmon... pretty much two of my favorite foods!
Brennan's of Houston - If you really want to go all out I highly suggest hitting up this Houston Institution. Famous for their Easter brunch Brennan's is always a classic choice for special occasions. Take your mom to brunch here and she will feel like a creole queen ( If you didn't pick up on my hint they specialize in Creole and Cajun cuisine) .
If you are looking to book a reservation stop by OpenTable Houston to easily see your restaurant of choice's availability. They also have a full list of restaurants having special mother's day menu's you will be sure to find one that tickles your fancy.
