Highlighting had a pretty good year in 2015. I would say if it was a high school kid highlighting would be the new kid who instantly befriends the popular group.  The beauty industry was flooded with words like "glow", "radiance" and "luminous". You couldn't open a magazine with out some new product promising fabulously dewy skin.

There is a reason why this trend became so popular in 2015 and thats because when done right it can make your skin look stunning. You have probably seen all the photos on instagram with insane highlights "on fleek" and while they are beautiful they are not completely practical for everyday at the office.

So you might be asking yourself... where are you going with this Jen? Well here it is folks... I found the perfect everyday highlighting powder.

There are a lot of products on the market that are geared toward this trend but my new favorite is one from Mary Kay. Their new sheer dimensions powders are a thing of beauty. Over the last couple of months I have been testing (and loving) the Pearls shade. This is a pearlescent pink toned highlight that comes off looking like a healthy angelic glow on the cheeks. And who doesn't want that?

The formula is soft and sheer with just enough impact to wear on an everyday basis. This product is marketed as a powder than can be dusted over the entire face similar to products like the Bobbi Brown's Brightening Finishing Powder in Porcelain Pearl or the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light. Personally I tend to stick to the traditional highlight area of the tops of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.

Unlike the aforementioned Bobbie Brown and Hourglass products you won't break the bank on this one. Retail for this product is $34.
