Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Its just a short post but I wanted to share with everyone my new desk swag  I picked up from Lilly Pulitzer. I got the 2012 calendar and some magnetic frames. Arent they super cute! I'm already anxious for January so I can start using my calendar.

I just signed up for a new monthly program and I thought I would let everyone in on it. The program is offered by Julep a nail salon out of Seatle. The website describes the program saying "We launched our new Julep Maven program to give all of our girlfriends access to the beauty editor Sneak Peek Box we create every month.  As a Julep Maven, you will have access to the hottest trends in nail color and the latest Mani Care and Pedi Care products" This service costs around $19 dollars a month and it includes two nail polishes and a treatment product.

 I received my first box in the mail earlier this week, and in it I got a color called Shania and one called lindsay along with a glycolic hand scrub. overall I really like the quality of the polishes. The brush makes it easy for the product to go on the nail evenly and not get it on your cuticles. The color selection is amazing too I love all the colors. My only negative comment about this program is that the amount of polish you get is only 8ml which is not very much for the price considering you can get almost twice as much in other brands bottles.

Nars Danmari All About Cheeks Palette

If your a reader of my blog you know I recently bought the Nars holiday cheek palette during the Sephora friends and family sale. I love this palete and I have used it everyday since it came in the mail.

The colors in the palette are Hungry Heart an ivory with cold shimmer, Super Orgasm is a peachy pink with gold glitter, Desire a super bright pink, Casino a dark brown with golden shimmer, Orgasm is a peachy pink with golden shimmer like Super Orgasm minus the glitter, Sin a rich berry shade with gold shimmer.  This palette is a great deal for anyone who loves Nars products but maybe dont have the money to shell out 27 dollars a shade. At 65 dollars it is well worth the money!

Ulta Gets Me Every Time

During my latest Ulta trip I picked up a variety of beauty products including hair, makeup and nail products. Some of the things I purchased are below, please read on if your interested!

I was instantly drawn to this Nyx blush for its amazingly bright pink color. I adore bright pink blush it is one of my favorite things in the world. This Nyx rouge cream blush in hot pink has been my go to blush for the past couple of weeks. This product blends really well and you barely need much product to create your desired effect. The Nyx super fat eye marker was some what of a disappointment. I found it easy to use and gave a nice thick black line but uunfortunately I feel like the marker dried out too fast. The last product from Nyx is the jumbo lip pencil in hot red. I decided to give this a try because I wanted to try a bold red lip but often I feel I cant pull of the red lip thing so with Nyx being an inexpensive brand it wouldn't have been a huge loss to my bank account if it ended up not working out for me. I have to say though it worked out amazingly well! It glided on easily and lasted me all night through a friends birthday outing, retouching it only once. I do have to warn you though, applying it can be messy if your not careful.

I am sure that everyone has been hearing non stop about all the amazing hair oils on the market, but for some reason I'm just now getting on the band wagon. I think I the word OIL just made me hesitant as it gives me visions of grease soaked hair.... not something I like hence why I bought the light formulation. I thought since this was an inexpensive brand, this bottle costing me only about $8 I could test my feet in the water so to speak. I have only used it a couple times so I can't just yet give a proper review but so far it has left my hair feeling hydrated and silky after each use.

I recently ran out of my face primer and while in Ulta decided to find a new one. While shopping around I tested each primer that was available in the store in order to find the smoothest formulation. I wound up choosing this Studio Gear prime objective skin perfecting face primer. I plan on posting a full review and comparison of this with other primers I have used recently so keep an eye out for that!

The last product I purchased was this Redken Satin heat styling lotion. I decided to pick up a test size to see if I liked it and all I have to say is .... that since purchasing this has been my go to product and I will be buying the full size bottle as soon as I run out of the the test size. IT IS THAT GOOD!

Who doesn't love a Sephora haul!

A few weeks ago I had a mini online shopping haul at Sephora. It was literally 10 pm on the last night of the Sephora friends and family sale and I had to get in some last minute purchases using that 20 percent discount! After scanning all the new holiday sets and palettes I decided on purchasing two things for my self and a couple of presents for my sister and mom ( sorry can't post about them... wouldn't want to ruin the gifts!)

The first thing I knew I wanted was the Nars Danmari All About Cheeks Palette, when I heard that Nars put out this palette I was ecstatic!  I'm not sure I can do justice in describing my love for Nars but in an attempt too I will say I LOVE LOVE LOVE NARS! They always have such great quality products and their blushes have such a silky texture to them and they last all day, and you can't forget the packaging the sleek mate black is to die for! I cant wait to swatch and post all the colors in this palette so keep an eye out for it in the next few days!

The other product that I bought for myself is the Lorac bejeweled day & night jewelry box. I decided to buy this for the sheer amount of products that came with it... so many goodies and for such a good price. So excited to use all the gorgeous eyeshadows!

November Birchbox

My Birchbox finally came in the mail this week! I just resigned up for the monthly program so I was extremely excited to finally receive it. If you are not sure what Birchbox is you can look at my august Birchbox post that explains it. This months box is all about giving and is aptly named "Getting Gifty". In the letter from the Birchbox team they suggest trying these goodies and "let them inspire your own present plans ... and we promise not to tell if you buy them for yourself!"

In this months box I was treated with
1. Anastasia Beverly Hills- Lash lifting Mascara   8ml - $22
on first opening this mascara formula seems a little dry but I am interested to try it out.
2. Befine - Night Cream   1.7fl oz - $30
I have used this for two nights so far and it seems very moisturizing.
3. Kérastase - Elixir Ultime    125ml - $54
This hair oil seems like it is going to be amazing I have not tried it yet but my hopes are set pretty high for this one as Kérastase is known for its quality.
4. Supersmile- Professional Whitening Toothpast  4.2oz $21

I am a little leery of this product its flavored candy apple... not my favorite flavor... but ill try it out ... eventually.
