Where have I been?

Vacation I am finally back into my normal routine after a month full of vacations. I thought why not share some of my recent travels with all of y'all. Early in July we traveled to upstate NY to visit some friends. It is truly beautiful up their this time of year! Everything is green and the weather is sunny but not blazing hot like it is in Houston! We stayed in the Balston Spa and Saratoga Springs area which are chalk full of shopping, cute boutiques and fun local restaurants to eat at. Here's a few pics from around town... We payed a quick visit to the Yaddo Gardens before we left as well. is an artist community that was first founded back in 1900, the house is still in use by artists today and is private property but the lovely gardens are open to the public! Its been a busy and fun July but I am equally excited to spend some down time at home the next couple of weeks. Did you go on any vacations this summer? The weekend after we got back to Houston I headed out on a girls weekend trip to Fredericksburg TX. My friends and I have turned it into something of an annual trip something I highly suggest if you live near the area. We stayed in a cute little house near town and spent the weekend visiting a few of the many vineyards around town. 

And finally we just returned from our most recent trip to Concan TX to float the Frio River. Its been ages since I have floated the river and it was such a blast! I didn't take to many pictures since we were on the river most of the time and with no cell service I didn't think to bring my phone. Here are a couple pictures I did get.

Vacation

Early in July we traveled to upstate NY to visit some friends. It is truly beautiful up their this time of year! Everything is green and the weather is sunny but not blazing hot like it is in Houston!
