A New Halloween Tradition

Last week we made the last minute decision to have a few friends over to show them our new place and carve a few pumpkins. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays so I jumped at the chance to put together a festive table spread and thought why not share it with all of you!

We decided to go full out with the October theme starting with our menu. Bratwurst and German potato salad were the mains while we offered some fresh veggies, stuffed mushrooms, and a fabulous jalapeno cheese dip (made by my fabulous friend Bora) for everyone to snack on.

For sweets I filled up a couple apothecary jars with candy and those awesome Halloween gumballs ... you know the ones with the creepy eyeball design.

Since this was such a last minute party I ordered some Bundtinis from my local Nothing Bundt Cake bakery. They have a great assortment of flavors to choose from and I went with Pumpkin Spice, Pecan, and Carrot Cake.

I have to say the pumpkin spice was absolutely delicious! These came with plain frosting and I spruced them up with sprinkles and Halloween toppers I picked up at my grocery store. This is such a great way to make cute little desserts for a fraction of the cost. A dozen of these ran me $19 dollars!

For drinks we picked up an assortment of pumpkin and fall brews from Shock Top, Blue Moon, and St. Arnolds.

I also made a quick champagne cocktail to go with these adorable ghost peep adorned cups. I got this idea straight from Pinterest of course and just thought these Peeps were the cutest!

I picked up most of the decorations, cups, straws, napkins, etc. at Target. They have an awesome Halloween section filled with everything you could need for a festive party! Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of the actual pumpkin carving except for this one my friend snapped.

The weather was perfect for us this day and we all had so much fun I plan on hosting a party every year!
