Years ago when BareMinerals first became popular I was a huge fan of their
mineral makeup. As I got older I ventured into other products and foundation
formulations and never really went back to Bare Minerals. I found that I really
preferred using a liquid foundation over the loose powder. When I heard that
BareMinerals was launching a liquid foundation I just couldn't wait to try it
out! The hype for this product was huge! You couldn't open a magazine or watch TV
without seeing or hearing about it. Over the months since its release I heard a
wide array of reviews from good to bad and finally caved and purchased it when
.
The BareSkin Foundation has really catapulted the trend for serum type
foundations with drugstore brands even jumping in on the game (I am talking
about you Maybelline!). It’s a completely new formulation for Bareminerals but
is still packed with those good for you ingredients that are in the OG formula.
It claims to be tone correcting and a skin brightening although I have yet to
see any results of this type. The perfecting face brush was designed
specifically for use with the new foundation and really does help to apply the
foundation evenly. I do think you could use any brush with this foundation but
none the less it applies the foundation quite nicely.
As for the actual product its self it claims to be tone correcting and a
skin brightening although I have yet to see any results of this type. BareMinerals
also claims this formula is for all skin types and complexions and reading
through reviews I don't know if that is completely true (I can’t attest to this
since I only have one skin type). I think this is a great foundation that
applies ultra-thin and can easily be built up. They suggest using 2 drops for
sheer coverage 4 for medium and 6 for heavier coverage. I found myself using 6
drops as I am used to wearing full coverage foundations and setting with a
powder (which I would recommend for the more oily prone gals). Be sure to shake
this product well before using otherwise you will get a separated foundation…which
no one wants.
Over all I don’t mind this foundation. It applies like silk and has a really
nice satin finish. I think if you have pretty clear skin that this would be a
great option. I found that after a few hours it would sit weirdly on areas that
had breakouts so I save this foundation when my skin isn’t acting up.
Have you tried this foundation yet? What are your thoughts; leave me a
