Morning and Evening Skincare
My Morning routine is fairly simple. I begin by washing my face using the Michael Todd Honey and Oat facial cleanser followed up by their Blue Green Algae Toner. I love both of these products because they are formulated for oily acne prone skin and really help keep any breakouts from popping up. After cleansing and toning I apply moisturizer, currently I am loving Hope In a Jar from Philosophy. It does a wonderful job of keeping my skin hydrated through out the day with out being overly greasy. The last step in my morning routine is applying Mario Badescue's Ceramide Herbal Eye Cream. I only use a tiny bit but it helps to smooth out the skin under my eyes allowing for concealer to apply and blend more easily. I find that both the moisturizer and eye cream wear well under my foundation not effecting the longevity what so ever.
This year I made a commitment to myself to take better care of my skin. For a while I fell of from my skincare routine and I really started to notice the toll it was taking on the appearance and texture of my skin. To be honest I just got lazy, I would still cleanse and moisturize but that was about all I was doing. Since deciding to up my routine I thought now would be the perfect time to share what I am currently using.

For my night routine I still use my honey and oat cleanser to wash my face. Once cleansed I will apply the Korres Quercetin and Oak Serum. This serum absorbs quickly and since adding this into my routine I have seen such an improvement in the texture of my skin. Seriously loving it. I then apply the Quercetin and Oak eye cream, this cream helps to fight fine lines and wrinkles while my morning eye cream helps to brighten my dark circles. After my serum has absorbed I apply my beloved Argan Infinity Cream from Josie Maran. This product is amazing, I am always amazed with how well my skin looks the morning after using this. Its ultra hydrating and can be used all over your body and even in your hair. Such a great product to have on hand. The last product I use at night is more on a weekly basis. Its the Microdelivery Peel from Philosophy its a physical and a chemical exfoliator. You get the best of both worlds and this product truly will leave you skin feel so soft after using.
I find my pores look better and my makeup applies more evenly when I consistently stick to my routine. Its so important to take care of your skin, it will never matter what type of makeup you use it just wont look as good if your skin isn't in its best possible shape. What is your skincare routine? Have you tried any of these products I mentioned? I would love to hear from you in the comments!
