The Ultimate Subscription Box?
When I first saw the promo for this box on Instagram I had to sign up just on curiosity alone. I used to watch Rachel Zoe's show on Bravo religiously she seriously is one of the most stylish ladies around. I thought this was an interesting approach to a seasonal subscription box, one that seemed a bit more high-end then all the boxes currently on the market (and maybe the first of many to follow).
I signed up for the full year. I will say that this is a pricey box but I still think it is a good value. Each box promises over $300 worth of goodies for a $100 a box. If you buy the full year membership you get a bit of a discounted price and will pay $350 for all 4 boxes. Year memberships also get their boxes shipped first.
Everything came wrapped in black tissue paper and placed in this really nice quality black box. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into just the packaging alone of this box.
What's in the box:
Miansai Modern Screw Cuff $200- This was the "Hero Item" or what you would call the big ticket item. This is a really nice modern looking bracelet and has a real weightiness to it. You can tell its good quality which makes me happy since this made the bulk of the "value" of this box.
Zoya Nail Polish Trio, $30 - An exclusive collection of polishes put together just for this box, It contains 3 shade. Zoe is an opal shade created with and named for Rachel. Chantal a peachy nude shade perfect for spring and summer; and then Haley a poppy red shade.
Traveler by TOMS, $68 - These are a really fun a flattering shape, they have a sort of rubber frame which makes these great for throwing in your bag and not worrying about messing them up... hence the name Traveler.
tarte lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara, $20 - Im always happy to get tarte in a subscription box I don't think I have ever tried a product I didn't like from them. This mascara is great for adding length and volume. It's been a favorite of mine for years!
Bristols 6 Stylin' Tape, $10 - I don't have too many occasions where I need to use styling tape so this wasn't all that exciting to get but I am sure to find a use for it. that require styling
Total value for this box is $328 and I paid $87.50 since I signed up for the year membership.
So what are your thoughts you may be saying?! I really like this box, I knew that the big ticket item was going to be the bracelet and I knew with just that alone I was getting a deal but receiving all the other full size items that are high quality products was great too. Most of the value came from the bracelet so if that sort of jewelry isn't your cup of tea then you probably wouldn't be too impressed with the box. I'm curious to see what the other boxes will contain and then I can really say if these boxes will be worth it.
