Central Park

I had the opportunity to explore Central Park two different days, the first day was for a short time and on a gloomy day but the second trip was the most beautiful day to explore. Central Park is one of the most beautiful places I have been able to visit. If I lived in New York City I would spend all my spare time here.

Central Park was just as beautiful in the fog as it was in the sunshine. Unfortunately we were only able to see a small portion of central park on day one because it started to pour down rain.

All the lakes and bridges were breathtaking.

I still can't get over how amazing the skyline looked peaking in and out of the fog.

Artist of all kinds littered the stunning landscape.

And how adorable is this cottage?

Our second trip into Central Park started early on a Saturday morning. There was a lot more sunshine and of course more people. Ashley and I had a few things we wanted to see in the park so we mapped out the area and ended up working our way through almost half of the park.

We started out by Tavern On the Green.

While checking out all the scenery....

There was some romantic people watching.

Along with a stop for ice cream!

Next we headed on over the Carousel where I wish I could have jumped on for a quick ride. But sadly did not.

But how fun does this look?

Then we trekked on over to Belvedere Castle. I couldn't help but think about the scene in the Devil Wears Prada where they had the "Urban Jungle" photo shoot.

I took this photo from the observation deck of the castle. We were able to see so much of Central Park from here!

We continued roaming through the park....

and stumbled upon Shakespeare's garden.

Walking through Central Park was one of the highlights of my trip and I cant wait to go back and see the other half!
